ALL ABOUT SOCCER

Soccer is a game of two opposite teams of 11 players each competing in kicking, dribbling or heading/chesting of a ball into the opponent’s goal post. Soccer which is also called football originated from ancient China back in the dark ages – about 3,000 years ago. It was known as tsu chu – a game played with a ball made of animal skins stuffed with feathers or hair, kicked between poles of 10 meters high, this game is used for military training, and records compared the round ball going through the square goal as an ancient symbol of harmony.  The Greeks and the Romans being the greatest advocates of games built arenas all over their empires in 18th century staging chariot racing, gladiatorial combats as an enjoyable entertainment did play a type of football too. It was called episkyres in Greek, and harpustum in Romans.

The game which use to be the fun of the apprentice in the streets of Medieval London spread forth in the late 19th century, league were formed, and the need for equipment such as ball, jersey, net, shoe (cleats) etc. arose the interests of some German crafty men such as Adolph and Rudolph Dassler (brothers) the founder of Adidas and Puma products. Soccer has grown to be one the most popular sport in the whole world, it draws the attention of billions spectators from different continents around the world today during any of its annual World-Cup competition series, and continental league among divers of clubs locally and internationally. Clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Newcastle, Bolton, Blackburn, QPR, Wolverhampton, Swansea, Norwich, Fulhan, Wigan Sunderland, Westbrom, Stoke, Tottenham, and Manchester City participates in Premier league.
